Note: Elite-level qualification is determined by the status credits earned. Earn status credits when flying on eligible flights of Qantas, oneworld alliance partners, Air Pacific or QantasLink services. The number of status credits you earn on each flight is determined by cabin class and distance traveled. Lifetime Recognition: Qantas Frequent Flyer will keep a tally of all the status credits accumulated during the life of a membership. As soon as a member has enough status credits, Silver or Gold recognition will be theirs for life, regardless of how often they then fly. 7,000 status credits for Silver membership and 14,000 status credits for Gold.

Status credits are based on paid class (discount economy, economy, business, first) and distance (broken down into 10 zones). Not all partner flights earn status credits.

Silver: For members who earn 350 status credits in one membership year (300 to retain). Benefits include:

Gold: For members who earn 700 status credits in one membership year (600 to retain). Benefits include the above listed, plus:

• 50% status bonus points on Qantas, American Airlines and British Airways.
• Complimentary membership in The Qantas Club.
• Priority baggage handling.
• On-departure upgrades within Qantas Club lounges.
• Enjoy oneworld Sapphire status on all oneworld member airlines.

Platinum: For members who earn 1,400 status credits during a membership year (1,200 to retain). Benefits include the above listed, plus:

• 100% status bonus points on Qantas, American Airlines and British Airways.
• Complimentary Gold membership for your partner when you earn 2,100 status credits in one membership year.
