[edit] AA Elite Security Lines
American Airlines provides PriorityAAccess security lines at many airports, which may be shorter than the general queues. PriorityAAccess lines are available for passengers with a boarding pass bearing the "PriorityAAccess" imprint, which is given to those traveling in First or Business Class, oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby members (which includes AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum and Gold members), AAirpass travelers, and passengers on a full-fare Economy Class ticket booked in Y.
In addition, passengers have the ability of using generic premium lines at other airports (qualification requirements may vary, see notes below).
The list below was compiled from the FT Thread on AA's Elite Lines. There is also a FT thread specific to use of elite security lines by AAdvantage Gold members. The list of airports is also included in Airport Cheat Sheet (AA)
[edit] Airports With Elite Security Lines
[edit] ATL
AA elites can use the elite security line that is towards the left of the main security area. BUT, since AA flights leave from the T-gates, it's often faster to use the dedicated security line for the T-gates, rather than take your chances in the main security area. When you're facing the AA check-in counters, the T-gate security checkpoint will be located behind you.
[edit] BOS
PriorityAAccess line is located just to the left of the general security line in the main concourse, Terminal B. Eagle and mainline flights now use a single security checkpoint and are connected airside.
[edit] BWI
Elite security line located in Concourse C for PLT, EXP, AAirPass, and First Class.
[edit] CMH
Concourse B, which AA uses, has an elite line on the left of the checkpoint.
[edit] DCA
The middle pier has an elite security line to the left side of the entrance maze for (and I quote): first class, business class, airline club members, Platinum and Gold members, oneworld and star alliance members. It is not always open.
[edit] DEN
Has combined elite lines for all airlines in the two main Terminal queues. As of 9/06, the lines have been moved to the far right (formerly was on the far left). The A-bridge queue also has an elite line on the far right with lane dividers that may be marked CLEAR. All elite lines merge into the general line for screening.
[edit] DFW
PriorityAAccess lines available at Terminals C and D. The elite line in Terminal A may be closed.
[edit] EWR
Terminal A has an elite line.
[edit] FLL
Has an elite line, although sometimes roped off. It is right next to the regular line, and right before security the two lines merge. On 3/23/07 it was open, and sometimes slower than the regular line. There was no one checking IDs, but the attendant for the regular line would let you in if you ask.
[edit] IAD
Premium security lines for elite, BC, and FC flyers. There are large yellow PREMIUM PASSENGERS signs up at the beginning of the elite lines at both the east and west ends.
[edit] JFK
PriorityAAccess line to the left of the regular line, with red lane dividers.
[edit] LAX
PriorityAAccess line accessed from the escalator on the right end (looking at the counters) of the terminal (closest to TBIT, opposite of terminal 5), across from the PriorityAAccess check-in area. Often there is an AA worker at the bottom of the escalator making sure only PriorityAAccess passengers go up this escalator.
[edit] LAS
The LAS line (at the far left of the screening area for the "D" gates) is labeled for First Class, but allowed PLT and EXP use on Oct 19, 2006.
[edit] LGA
- Concourse C: elite security line on the left that AA elites are allowed to use (as of 5/08)
- Concourse D: PriorityAAccess line on the left.
[edit] MCI
At the front of the regular line, there is a small break in the "tape" with a sign on the post at the break marked First Class, but reported success using it as GLD, PLT and EXP.
[edit] MIA
- Concourse D: PriorityAAccess line on the left side of the main queue
- Concourse E: PriorityAAccess line on the right side of the main queue
[edit] MSP
Has a premium line by the AA counters.
[edit] ORD
- PriorityAAccess checkpoint (dedicated) between L and K, tucked right past the premium check-in counters
- PriorityAAccess line at the very far left of the checkpoint between G and H.
[edit] ORF
Has an elite line. No further details.
[edit] PDX
Yes, it is well posted, with three entries to the separate queues: crew and airport personnel; first class, elite and AS 'Seattle Shuttle' passengers); and everyone else.
[edit] PHL
Yes, has a shared elite/first line with other carriers. Unfortunately, as of late, the security checkpoint has been set up so that the elite line branches off from the normal line not very far away from the metal detectors. This means that when the line is long (as it often is at PHL), elites have to wait through most of the line before they get to take the "fast track."
[edit] PHX
Has an elite line. No further details.
[edit] PIT
Has a preferred line open to any airline elite.
[edit] RDU
In Terminal C, first-class and AAdvantage Elite members, Gold/Plat/ExPlat, may bypass the main queue leading to the checkpoint. Information verified with American Airlines and boarding pass checkers on 09/19/2006.
[edit] SAN
AA flies out of Terminal 2, which has a first class/elite lane. The entrance is to the left, near the AA ticket desks. The elite lane joins the regular one at the head. Terminal 1 does not have a first/elite line, and neither does the commuter terminal.
[edit] SFO
PriorityAAccess line on the left of the main line; at times of low volume may be closed, but the main line will be extremely short.
[edit] SJC
Only has a First Class line, but has been successfully used by Plats and EXP.
[edit] SEA
Has an elite line.
The elite line is located towards the middle of the terminal. I think it is between the B and C gate security entrances.
[edit] SJU
PriorityAAccess line shares a common entrance to the security 'maze' with the regular line. The checker will then direct you straight ahead to the PriorityAAccess line, which has its own TSA agent. The line then merges back into the normal security queues.
[edit] SNA
SNA has them, although the one on the United side is generally shorter in the morning.
[edit] STL
PriorityAAccess is lane 6 (rightmost lane) of the checkpoint for CD gates.

- BDL
- BNA
- As of 9/10/08, the elite line has been eliminated. AA elites were able to the elite security line in the checkpoints on the A/B side, and cross over to the C pier airside. The line is signposted for Skyteam elites (DL/CO/NW) and "other airlines' elite customers".
