[edit] What is the FlyerGuide Wiki?

A wiki is a Web site that allows anyone to edit and add information - a collaborative effort that includes the entire Internet community. The FlyerGuide Wiki in particular is filled with thousands of pages of travel-related information. Each of these pages can be edited by you! (Learn more)

If you see something that you think is wrong, out of date, poorly organized or what have you, you can click the "edit" tab at the top of the page and fix it. In fact, you are encouraged to edit and update content. That's the best part of a wiki -- working together we can create something that is greater than anything each of us could do on our own.

And your powers are not limited to editing, you can also create pages in the wiki and fill them with your unique insights and knowledge.

Let's say, for example, you work in Houston and your co-workers, who see you flying in first-class and taking annual trips to Europe, are constantly pestering you for frequent flyer tips. You could create a page titled "Tips for the Houston Business Traveler" and point them there. Or maybe you possess intimate knowledge about the location and quality of every restaurant in London's Heathrow airport -- you could create a page titled "The Complete Heathrow Restaurant Guide." And once you have created your page, you will have an entire community of people helping to keep it up to date.

[edit] What if someone ruins my hard work?

Every edit made to the wiki is saved, and you, or anyone else, can easily revert to a previous version of a page if something has been added in error. You can learn more about how to revert a page to a previous version here.

[edit] Is there somewhere where I can practice?
