Note: All upgrade vouchers are equivalent in points, doubled, to the amount of U.S. dollars required to purchase a business (Premium) class surcharge. For example: if a one-way upgrade from coach to business class costs US$222 for a departure from Paris, then a voucher to upgrade from coach to business class or from full-fare business class to first class, will cost 444 points. Exceptions: Upgrade vouchers between the U.S. and Tel Aviv are 1,798 points each way (excluding Los Angeles). From Los Angeles, an upgrade is 1,898 points each way. An upgrade voucher from business class to first class between England and Tel Aviv requires double the amount of points needed for an upgrade from coach to business class.

Between Tel Aviv and Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Kiev, Minsk, Odessa, other El Al destinations in Europe or Kenya:

  • 300 points = one, one-way upgrade from coach (excursion and higher fare) to business class.

Between Tel Aviv and Canada:

  • 900 points = one, one-way upgrade from coach (Super Apex and higher fare) to business class or from full-fare business class to first class.

Between Tel Aviv and the 48 contiguous states:

  • 1,300 points = one, one-way upgrade from coach (Super Apex and higher fare) to business class or from full-fare business class to first class.

Between Tel Aviv and China, Thailand or Hong Kong:

  • 1,100 points = one, one-way upgrade from coach (Super Apex and higher fare) to business class or from full-fare business class to first class.

Between Tel Aviv and South Africa or India (excursion fare only):

  • 900 points = one, one-way upgrade from coach (Apex and higher) to business class.
