[edit] LHR minimum connecting times (AA and oneworld partners)
(Updated on 19-NOV-08)
A frequent forum question; these are dependent upon the terminal you are connecting to/from, and are as follows for connecting to/from a partner carrier.
- AA operates from T3;
- BA operates predominantly from T5 with some flights from T3, and, until 27 January 2009, T1 [3];
- IB operates from T2 with plans to move to T3 on 27 January 2009;
- RJ operates from T3.
T1 T2 T3 T4 T5
AA->BA,IB,RJ | 1.30 | 1.15 | 1.00 | 1.30 | 1.30
T1 T2 T3 T4 T5
BA,IB,RJ->AA | 1.30 | 1.15 | 1.00 | 1.30 | 1.30
*Excludes AA/BA codeshares (even if it does not make any sense!)
[edit] MAD minimum connecting times (AA and IB)
(Updated on 27-APR-07)
A frequent forum question; these can be dependent upon the terminal of the flights. Codeshared flights have the same MCT of the operating carrier.
Between AA and IB: 1.30
Between IB flights, most ranges (includes USA <-> Europe connections)
Depart T4 Depart T4S
Arrive T4 .55 | 1.05
Arrive T4S 1.05 | .55
- NOTE: between BCN and most longhauls greater MCT applies: for US destination it's 1.25 to BOS, ORD, IAD, 1.40 to MIA, and 2.40 to JFK; 1.15 from ORD, MIA, 1.20 from BOS, IAD, and 1.30 from JFK. All US flights have funnel (same-number) flight numbers through to/from BCN, so the MCT should not impact anyone.
Between IB flights, when one or both flights are in the 7000-7249 range
Depart T4 Depart T4S
Arrive T4 1.30 | 1.30
Arrive T4S 1.30 | N/A
Between IB flights, when one or both flights are in the 7250-7999 range
Depart T4 Depart T4S
Arrive T4 1.15 | 1.30
Arrive T4S 1.30 | 1.15
Note: most restrictive MCT applies
